- Bodily Injury and Property Damage Liability*
- Bodily Injury and Property Damage Liability protect you if you are legally liable for injuring someone or damaging their property in an accident. The coverage will pay for the injured party’s medical expenses, loss of wages and the cost to repair or replace their damaged property up to the policy limit you purchase.
Bodily Injury and Property Damage Liability can be purchased by either of the following:
Split Limits: ($100,000/300,000/50,000)
In the above example, if you are legally liable, the maximum amount the insurance company will pay for any one person’s injuries from an accident is $100,000, and $300,000 is the maximum amount the insurance
company will pay for all injuries from an accident no matter how many people are injured. The maximum amount the insurance company will pay for property damage from an accident that you are legally liable for is $50,000.Combined Single Limits: ($500,000 CSL)
In the above example, if you are legally liable, $500,000 is the maximum amount the insurance company will pay for bodily injuries and property damage from an accident. The coverage limit can be distributed to bodily injury or property damage in any way. - Uninsured Motorist/Underinsured Bodily Injury*
-
Protects you, resident relatives, or anyone occupying your insured vehicle with your permission for medical expenses when injuries are sustained in an accident with an at fault motorist that does not have liability insurance or does not have enough insurance.
- Non-stacked/Stacked Uninsured/Underinsured Bodily Injury*
-
Non-stacked coverage means that the limit for the insured vehicle will apply to that vehicle only. With stacked coverage, the limit for Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist that apply to each vehicle on a policy (car, motor home, etc) are combined for a total limit that will be available in the event of an accident that meets the criteria for this coverage.
- Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist Property Damage*
-
This coverage is available in some states as an alternative to Collision Coverage. UM Property Damage pays you for damage to your insured vehicle that has been sustained in an accident with an at fault motorist that does not have insurance.
- Medical Payments Coverage*
-
Provides payments for medical treatments for bodily injury or funeral expenses incurred by you, family members and passengers due to a covered accident up to the policy limits.
- Personal Injury Protection
-
PIP is available in a few states, where often it is mandatory. The coverage is a general expansion of Medical Payments, applying to medical bills, lost wages, loss of services of you and resident relatives due to injuries sustained involving a motor vehicle whether the insured is a passenger or a pedestrian.
* Coverage does not apply to towables (Travel Trailers, 5th Wheels, Pop-ups)
- Other Than Collision (Comprehensive)
-
Provides coverage for direct or accidental loss or damage to your insured vehicle and all permanently attached equipment caused by hazards other than collision or upset. Examples are: wind, flood, fire, hail, theft, explosion, falling object, vandalism, glass breakage, and malicious mischief. A deductible usually applies. (You can lower your premium by increasing your deductible)
- Collision Coverage
-
Provides coverage for damage to your insured vehicle, and all permanently attached equipment, resulting from a collision with another object.
- Total Loss Replacement/Purchase Price Guarantee
-
If you have a total loss during the first five (5) model years, your RV will be replaced with a brand new vehicle of like, kind and quality. If a total loss occurs after the 5th model year, the purchase price shown on the policy would be paid, less your deductible, toward the purchase of another RV.
Gilbert RV Insurance, Inc. is the only specialist that can insure your Medium Duty Tow Vehicle with Total Loss Replacement. Available in selected states.
- Purchase Price Guarantee
-
(can be purchased separately from Total Loss Replacement on certain model year vehicles, varies by state)
If you have a total loss, the purchase price shown on the policy would be paid, less your deductible, toward the purchase of another RV. Coverage periods vary from company to company and state to state. (i.e.: First 10 model years or as long as the coverage is on the policy and the policy are continuously in effect) If additional equipment is added to the RV (satellite dishes, etc), the amount the RV is insured for should be increased. Most insurance companies base a total loss on the actual cash value or the book value at the time of the loss. With our Total Loss Replacement/Purchase Price Guarantee Coverage, you are protected from depreciation when you replace your RV.
- Agreed Value Coverage
-
This coverage provides Stated Amount protection for RV’s that are custom made bus conversions or restored vehicles, (like GMC’s), where the estimated value is not easily determined as it would be if it were a conventional coach.
This coverage can be obtained with a qualified appraisal or recent bill of sale along with photos of the coach, which establishes the value of your RV. If you have a total loss, you can have peace of mind that there is no question what the vehicle’s worth is. Appraisals are valid for three years, at which time another appraisal would be needed.
- Diminishing (or Disappearing) Deductibles
Your original Other than Collision (Comprehensive) and Collision Deductibles are reduced by 25% for each year you are claim free. If you go four consecutive years without a claim, then your Deductibles would be zero (-0-) in the event you have a claim. Once a claim is paid, it returns to the original limit.
